국제항공안전 평가프로그램 도입 및 등록
국내 대표 저비용항공사 이스타항공이 IOSA 등록을 하였다.
이스타항공은 국제항공운송협회(IATA:International A ir Transport
Association)가 주관하는 국제항공안전 평가제도인 ‘IOSA(IATA Operational Safety A udit)’를 지난 6월 최종 등록했다.
IOSA는 전 세계 115개국, 250여개 항공사가 참여하고 있는 단체인 국제 항공운송협회에 의해 개발된 항공사의 안전관리 및 품질보증 체계에 대한 평가 프로그램으로, 이스타항공은 지난 2010년 12월 IOSA(3rd Edition) 등록을 했었으며, 이번에는 안전관리시스템이 보다 더 강화된 IOSA(8th Edition)등록을 하게 되었다.
이스타항공은 지난해부터 안전문화강화 체제를 유지해 왔으며, 이를 통해 금년 3월 최신 평가기준(8th Edition)이 적용된 IOSA의 안전관리, 운항, 운항관리, 정비, 객실, 운송, 화물 및 항공보안 등 8개 분야 1,134여개의 평가항목에 대한 매뉴얼 및 현장 점검을 실시하여, 15일 국제항공운송협회로부터 IOSA 최종 등록 통보를 받았다.
특히, 이스타항공은 금번 IOSA 등록 준비를 위해 안전보안실을 주축으로 대표이사가 참석한 IOSA TFT를 구성하여, 회사의 안전관리 체계를 효과적으로 개선할 수 있도록 IOSA 등록을 진행했다.
이스타항공은 국제표준의 안전성 확보를 기반으로 최상의 비행안전시스템을 이어나갈 예정이다.

Eastar Jet made final registrations last June with IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit), which is an international aviation safety evaluation system run by the IATA(International Air Transport Association).
Around 250 airlines from 115 countries are registered in the IOSA, a program developed by the International Air Transport Association for the purpose of evaluating an airline’s safety management and quality assurance systems.
EastarJet had registered in the IOSA (3rd Edition) in December 2010 and now we have registered in the IOSA (8th Edition), which demands a strengthened safety management system.
Eastar Jet has maintained a safety culture strengthening system from last year.
In March of this year, manual and site inspections were carried out on 1,134 evaluation items that cover the IOSA’s eight categories (safety management, flight operations, operational control, aircraft engineering and maintenance, cabin operations, ground handling operations, cargo operations, and security management) that apply in the latest 8th Edition evaluation criteria, and on the 15th we were informed by the International Air Transport Association of our final registration with IOSA.
In particular, the company has systematically improved its safety management system by comprising the IOSA TFT, which our CEO attended, with the safety security office playing a key role in order to prepare for registering with IOSA this time.
